When you press the button on your garage door remote it “talks” to the opener over radio frequencies. It sends out a signal telling the opener to open or close the garage door.

- A ladder
- The remote control with batteries intact
- Clear path under/around the garage door

Programming Your Garage Door Opener
The garage door opener and remote need to be the same brand unless you have purchased a universal remote. If you need a new opener or remote, contact your local garage door professionals.
Locate the “learn” button. It’s generally on the side of the opener, but if you can’t find it, remove the light cover to locate it.
Once you’ve found the learn button, press it until it begins to blink.
